AMS Lactation

FAQ

I offer telehealth or video-conference lactation consultations to help mothers with various breastfeeding challenges, including:

  • Preparation before delivery
  • Latching and positioning
  • Milk supply concerns
  • Nipple care
  • Identifying and addressing complications
  • Understanding baby cues

During a consultation, I will talk over your specific needs and concerns and provide you with a thorough explanation of breastfeeding and postpartum care. I also offer helpful tips and share resources specific to you and your baby. Feel free to ask away anything. I’ll try my best to  answer any questions you may have.

You can contact me through the website to schedule a consultation at your convenience. I am here to help you throughout your breastfeeding journey, whether you need assistance right after birth or later on.

While I can provide support and guidance, successful breastfeeding depends on various factors. However, I will work with you to learn techniques to increase your comfort level, address any challenges you may face, and help you achieve your breastfeeding goals.

Yes, absolutely! While flat or inverted nipples may require some additional techniques for latching, many mothers with this anatomy successfully breastfeed. I can show you specific positioning and exercises that can help your baby latch effectively.

Of course! Recovery from a C-section might take a little longer, but breastfeeding is still very possible. Please contact me and we’ll discuss different ways to achieve a comfortable feeding position.

There is no shame in supplementing with formula, especially if your baby is showing signs of hunger and your milk supply is still established. We can discuss feeding plans that incorporate both breast milk and formula to ensure your baby’s nutritional needs are met.

$100 for the first initial consultation; $50 for follow up appointments.
